Discovering the United Club Seattle: Our Review

Since opening a United Club Infinite Card, we’ve had the pleasure of visiting several United Club lounges to enjoy complimentary snacks, beverages, and a relaxing atmosphere before our flights. During a recent trip to Seattle, we made a stop at the United Club Lounge in Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) before heading back to Chicago. Here’s our detailed review of the United Club Seattle lounge—from its amenities to our overall experience.

United Club Seattle: Know before you go

What are the hours of the United Club Seattle? The United Club is open from 4:15 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. every day.

Where is the United Club at the Seattle airport? The United lounge in Seattle is located in Concourse A, across from Gate A10.

How do you access the United Club lounge at the Seattle airport? Travelers flying United Polaris Business Class, Star Alliance gold members, and United Club members all have access to the lounge. When we were at the airport, the United Club Seattle was accepting one-time passes, but that doesn’t happen at every location at all times.

United Club Seattle: Lounge details

The United lounge at the Seattle airport was smaller than many of the other United lounges we’ve been to, which surprised us a bit given the size of SeaTac and it being the largest airport in the Pacific Northwest. Despite its small size, we had no trouble finding seating and there were plenty of open seats in the lounge during the hour-plus we spent there. There were a variety of seating types from deep, wide chairs to higher counter stools, similar to the seating available in the majority of United lounges.

The individuals working at the front desk were polite and helpful, and they checked on a seating question for our flight that we had. There were a few private phone rooms near the entrance of the lounge. We didn’t use these, but we saw some individuals taking personal or work calls.

United Club Seattle: Food and drink

There was a small area with self-service for coffee, tea, and water. There was one bar in the lounge that had one bartender working the late morning shift. Because the lounge wasn’t too busy, it seemed like the one bartender was able to manage the orders of all the travelers in the lounge. The area for food was right next to the bar.

We got to the lounge around 10:30 a.m., which was towards the end of their breakfast service. The offerings were scrambled eggs, oatmeal, toast, English muffins, hard-boiled eggs, three types of cereal, pineapple, and grapes. Because of when we arrived the breakfast food was pretty picked over and they weren’t replenishing it. It was a more limited selection than what we’ve seen at other United lounges.

Given the slim breakfast options, we decided to wait until they’d put out the lunch food to eat. Lunch was a small salad bar, couscous salad, tomato bisque soup, shredded chicken tacos, ham & cheese sandwiches, and a pasta platter. P1 had the tomato bisque soup and a shredded chicken taco. P2 had a ham & cheese sandwich and some soup. The food was alright – nothing to write home about. It was, however, saving us on paying for airport food, so that’s a win in our book.

United Club Seattle Summary

The United Club Lounge in Seattle wasn’t the biggest or fanciest United Club that we’ve been to. Despite that, it was a nice, clean place to rest prior to boarding our flight and leaving Seattle. The convenience and benefits of being United Club members and having the ability to wait in the lounge is well worth the cost of our United Club Infinite annual fee.
