One of the biggest perks of the United Club Infinite card is the access it provides to United clubs. For the $525 annual fee, you get a United club membership, which United values at $650. This gives the cardholder and one guest (plus any dependents under 21 years of age) access to all United clubs and participating Star Alliance lounges. Since P2 opened this card earlier this year, we’ve been taking advantage of this benefit and leveraging the lounge access as a place to relax before our flights. In July, we flew out of Denver and visited United’s largest-ever lounge near the B gates.

United Club Denver: About the lounge

The new United Club Denver (B East) has over 35,000 square feet and has seats for more than 600 people. You enter the lounge from the concourse, scan your pass, and take an escalator up to the first floor of the club. There is a second floor of the club, also connected by an escalator. The lounge is open daily from 5:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. and is located by gate B44.

Our flight departed Denver at 3:10 p.m. We got to the lounge around 1:30 p.m. on a Sunday. When we visited, there was plenty of seating for all guests. There are a variety of seating types, from booths, to stools to bar seating to wider chairs & couches. There were plenty of outlets and chargers by all seating. The lounge was designed to look like a ski lodge, which is reflected in the fireplaces in the lounge (among other features).

The bathrooms were clean with more than enough stalls. There were also rooms for mothers to nurse their babies or pump. Since we’re now traveling with a baby, it’s important to us that we have a clean space to change our baby before the flight. Even though it wasn’t the wellness room, we went into one of the individual private all-gender restrooms. There was a changing table and diapers & wipes provided, even though it wasn’t a space designated specifically for families with children. This was a nice touch that you don’t always see in lounges.

United Club Denver: Food and Drink

There are two bars in the lounge, one on each floor. The lower-level bar is designed to look like a sports bar while the upper-level is in the ski chalet theme. They serve beers from Colorado breweries including New Belgium and Denver Beer Company. We didn’t get anything from the bar. There were quite a few stations to get water, coffee, and tea from. There were also Coke Freestyle machines – similar to what we’ve seen in other United lounges.

In terms of food, there were stations on both the first and second floor of the lounge. There was a make your own salad bar, which had tomatoes, mushrooms, carrots, and beets among the toppings. A separate section for dessert was located near the sports bar on the first floor. The dessert offerings included chocolate eclairs, brownies, and chocolate chip cookies.

On the day we visited, the hot lunch options were cavatappi alfredo, roasted plantains, and roasted tomato rice. There was also a roasted corn soup, cochinita pibil pulled pork and summer citrus chicken. The food wasn’t anything special, but it was convenient and saved us from having to purchase food in the terminal. There were also areas with snacks like nuts or trail mix for smaller bites to eat.

Summary

In terms of design and space, the United Lounge in Denver is one of the nicest ones we’ve visited. There was plenty of room to spread out with our things, and we never lacked what we needed.
